How did Haas Web Design come to be?

Haas Web Design came to be out of necessity in both my professional and personal life. At my day-to-day full time job, I needed a way to communicate with my co-workers located at multiple campuses. I needed a way to update folks on standards and best practices as they were continually being improved upon.

In my personal life, my wife and I had recently had our first child, and I needed a way to show friends and family who did not live nearby all the pictures of our new son.

E-mail proved to be far too cumbersome and laborious for both of these purposes. I needed a universal means of communication across time zones and different computer platforms (PCs, Apples, etc.) I needed to figure out a universal means of communication. Then it hit me...the Internet!!! I could learn to create websites!

What are Ryan's Web Site Design Credentials?

As evidenced by the work I have completed for my clients, I have a great deal of knowledge on website design and layout. I do not have any formal degrees or certificates which I can show to prospecrtive clients that illustrate my level of knowledge in website design or layout technologies. I can tell you that I have proven myself successfule to many clients both at my full time job and in this business environment since 2007. As you take a look at some of my work listed in my 'Portfolio', please remember that these sites do not represent the limits of my programming abilities. With my current portfolio, I have completed what my clients have asked for. If you don't see something in my current portfolio, please do not assume that I cannot code it for you. What are your Business practices?

First and foremost, I believe in being honest with all of my clients, as well as my prospective clients. I will always treat you with the courtesy and respect you deserve. I pledge to always do the following for all customers:

• I will: Provide a free initial consultation to review site concepts and possibilities
• I will: Provide an estimate of the final website cost based on the initial consultation
• I will: Maintain proper communication with the client throughout the design process to ensure I am tracking with your vision
• I will: Offer my input to site design and layout, if desired
• I will: Provide you with an itemized invoice for all work done in a billing period
• I will: Try as hard as I can to make the creation of your website as easy and 'pain-free' as possible

Here is what I pledge not to do:

• I will not: Charge you for the time required to learn something I don't know how to do
• I will not: Change my prices. My hourly rate has not changed since 2008.
• I will not: Force my opinions on your website. I will offer my opinions if you would like, but I will not push my ideas on you. I am working FOR YOU.
• I will not: Place annoying banner ads on your site. I promise to only place a single link to my website on your home page.
• I will not: Sell your information to others. Your account and contact information will remain confidential.
• I will not: Publish content to your website without your consent
